Coaching Development
Hockey Eastern Ontario offers a full slate of Coaching Development programs throughout the year. Some of these programs are hosted and run by Minor Hockey Associations/Districts while others are hosted and run by HEO. In addition, many of these programs are FREE for the Association/District hosting them and/or the coaches/players attending them. Check out the complete list and details below.

NCCP Coaching Clinics
- Coach 1, Coach 2, Development 1 and High Performance 1 clinics; provide training and certification for coaching eligibility
- Coach 1, Coach 2 and Development 1 hosted by MHAs; High Performance 1 hosted by HEO
- To host a clinic submit a request using our online NCCP Coach Clinic Request submission form
Instructional Stream Clinics
- FREE professional development clinics for coaches in the following areas: Skills, Skating, Shooting & Scoring, Developing Defencemen, Goaltending, Small Area Games, Checking
- HEO hosts a full slate of these clinics each year. The list of these clinics can be found here
Continuing Education Clinics
- FREE professional development clinics for coaches in the following areas: Practice Planning, Shared Ice Practices, Linking Practice to Games
- Hosted by MHAs by submitting a request using our online Continuing Education Clinic Request submission form
Webinar Series
- FREE professional development webinars for coaches
- Delivered by subject matter experts from NHL, CHL, CJHL, CIS, Hockey Canada and HEO

U7 Education Day
- FREE U7 Program specific coach development clinics
- Requested and hosted by MHAs
- U7 Coaches receive a Skating Level 1 or SKills Level 1 Insrtuctional Stream clinic (or both)
- MHA Administration and U7 parents also recieve information sessions
