2020 Gold Cup Coaches
Hockey Eastern Ontario would like to recognize the coaches and trainers that were selected from our branch to participate in the 2020 OHL Gold Cup. With the
cancellation of this year's event these individuals will not get the opportunity to fill their appointed roles but we would like to recognize them and thank them
for their interest in HEO and their tremendous contributions to hockey in our region.
The staff representing HEO, and their roles, were as follows:
Al Raymond- Head Coach, Team White
Jason Clarke- Assistant Coach, Team Maroon
Jordan Johnson- Assistant Coach, Team Grey
Marie-Pierre Neron- Trainer, Team Green
Sarah Nichols- Trainer, Team Green
2019 Gold Cup Coaches
Jason Clarke (Head Coach) - Jason brings a long and distinguished career to the Program of Excellence. Since 2009 he has been the head coach of the
Carleton Place Canadians Jr A team in the CCHL. Four straight seasons, from 2012/13 to 2015/16, he lead the Canadians to the CCHL Bogart Cup Championship.
In three of those seasons (2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15) they went on to win the Fred Page Cup and play in the RBC National Jr A Championship, winning Silver Medals in
back to back years in 2013 and 2014.
In addition to his work in the CCHL, Jason has also worked with Hockey Canada as the head coach of Team Canada at the World Jr A Challenge in 2016 - 2017,
bringing home a silver medal.
Between the 2012/13 and 2017/18 seasons Jason has been honored by the CCHL Jr. A league as Coach of the Year on two occassions and GM of the Year five times.

Al Raymond (Assistant Coach) - Al currently works as a AAA Midget and Varsity Head Coach with CIH Academy. He also
assists, during the summer, with International hockey programs as well. Prior to this, he worked with the Hull Olympiques
and the Team Quebec U-17 Program which finished 4th at the 2001 World Championships. Al also spent time as the Hockey
Director and Head Coach of a successful Major Midget organization in Chicago. Alain’s playing career has taken him from
the CJHL and OHL where he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 1982 to a lengthy career in Europe where he earned
accolades such as capturing a World Championship for the Dutch National Team in 1999
