Social Media

Why would I want to join Facebook, Twitter or use the HEO Facebook link?

With Facebook and Twitter, we will be able to notify you instantly of clinics, news around the branch, highlights from tournaments, upcoming events and so much more. Facebook and Twitter are now widely used not only for social media interaction but also in the business world for both marketing and awareness. It is the easiest and fastest way to communicate and share with our partners: parents, players, coaches, trainers, officials and board members.

Junior Hockey

How do I find out about junior hockey in the Ottawa district?

There are three fine junior league options in this area (four, if you include the OHL's Ottawa 67's)
CCHL1 - Central Canada Hockey League 1 (Junior A)
CCHL2 - Central Canada Hockey League 2 (Junior B)
NCJHL - National Capital Junior Hockey League (Junior C)
Each operates independently, under the jurisdiction of HEO and Hockey Canada, but with their own rules, regulations, and bylaws. Links to each league can be found on the home page.

What options are there for players coming out of midget to junior and beyond?

Because there are so many, your best bet is to read the booklet What's in the Future for Me? Compiled by former HEO Vice President of Development Ron McRostie, this thorough compendium of junior and college options provides just about everything you'd need to know about options after minor hockey.
